The Television Academy has officially announced the nominations for the 76th Emmy Awards, shining a spotlight on the finest achievements in television over the past year. This year’s nominations come just six months after January’s awards telecast, as the 2023 ceremony was postponed to 2024 due to the overlapping actors’ and writers’ strikes.
FX Leads the Pack with 93 Nominations
FX has had a standout year, garnering a total of 93 nominations. Leading the charge is “Shogun” with an impressive 25 nods, followed closely by “The Bear,” which has earned 23 nominations, including a spot in the best comedy series category.
Other Notable Nominations
While FX celebrated significant success, other networks and platforms also made their mark. Peacock, for instance, earned a nod for its reality competition show “The Traitors.” Meanwhile, HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country” emerged as the most-nominated limited/anthology series with 19 nominations.
The Ceremony Details
Though the host for the ceremony has yet to be named, the 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live from downtown Los Angeles’ LA Live Peacock Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT on ABC.
