Islamabad: The Millennium University College (TMUC) Pakistan and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Pakistan organised a career symposium for ACCA students and affiliates from the Islamabad region providing them training opportunities.
Around 280 ACCA Students and Affiliates sat through interviews for training opportunities offered by employers namely Meezan Bank, First Microfinance Bank, Khushali Microfinance Bank, S&P Global, Ufone and Islamabad Recruitment Company.
The event also included keynote addresses by Kabeer Naqvi, COO, UMicrofinance Bank, Sardar Abu Bakr, director strategy, Telenor Pakistan, Yousuf Haroon, Director HR, Emaar Pakistan and Anna Faisal, Executive Director Roots Millennium Schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Kabeer Naqvi said, “The most important thing about building a career is that you should be brave enough to take risks, be zealous and ready for rising up the ladder.” On answering a question from the audience members on inclusion and equal opportunity for people with special needs, Kabeer Naqvi announced that UMicrofinance Bank will put in more focus to this area as part of their organisation’s recruitment strategy.
“Do what you can in your career that is in your control. The worst thing young professionals can do is that they give in to external pressures,” said Abu Bakr whilst interacting with the audience.

She said“ The TMUC Chief Executive Faisal Mushtaq is committed to make transnational undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional education affordable and accessible to all students in Pakistan.
