The Religious Scholar Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi Passed Away
KARACHI: Renowned religious scholar Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi died after cardiac arrest in Karachi, citing family sources, ARY News announced on Saturday.
The family sources said Allama Syed Zameer Akhtar Naqvi, a religious figure, had died from cardiac arrest. He was rushed to a private hospital where he’d breathed his last.
After the Maghrib, Syed’s body will be moved to Shuhada-e-Karbala Imambargah in Ancholi region for funeral prayers. He was 76 years old.
He was born in India’s Lucknow on March 24-1944 and wrote several novels. The scholar was renowned for his lectures on various subjects, while Naqvi also performed duties as editor-in-chief of a magazine, Al-Qalam, and Mir Anees Academy president.

He was the president of the Mir Anees Academy and the editor-in-chief of Al-Qalam quarterly magazine.
