The much liked recently released Pakistani film Cake is winning hearts at the box office and comes with a treat with part 1 of their 5 part web-series focused on Zara & Adnan life in London.
CAKE Is A Cinematic Treat That Connects You To Your Cultural Roots
For those of you who have seen #CakeTheFilm maybe this will shed some more light on Zara’s character. For those who haven’t seen it yet, it will give you an insight into one of the key protagonists in the feature (which you should watch asap as it is still in cinemas!)
Whilst time is addressed in a very “real” way in the feature film, for this companion piece, the visual language is languid, storytelling non-linear – past and present merge and old memories blur with new memories.
“Cake” is a film about the passage of time seen through the eyes of one family and offers a heartfelt look at the realities of life, of past and present, of choices and consequences.
