The Universities invest time and effort to deliver the best teaching experience to all students whilst developing them into professional individuals for them to excel in their career.

One of the Universities is University of South Wales (USW), United Kingdom. We all know that USW is all about being bold, independent and fulfilling your potential. It is one of the largest Universities in Wales, UK and offers excellent prospects and opportunities. USW has campuses spread across and located in Cardiff, Newport, Pontypridd and Dubai with 95% of its graduates in work or study within six months of graduation (DLHE 2016/2017).
Covid-19 Outbreak & Distance Learning
With the outbreak of the coronavirus (covid-19) throughout the world, educational institutions faced unforeseen circumstances to cope up with delivering education to students and at the same time providing care and support to international students. All Universities around the world took safety measures and upgraded their information technology infrastructure to respond to the covid-19 in order to efficiently continue educational services.
USW did the same too! With its focus on providing quality education and a real time experience, within a span of less than 10 days it decided, determinedly worked whilst keeping all students informed with updates and managed to move the paradigm and sustained delivering excellence and quality education to all students. In particular, the MBA Global programme – led by Director Joanna Pritchard ensured to enhance the student experience during these conditions and extended its support to all international students who had no intimation of what was happening in such a crisis situation – as simply, no one was prepared! With not only changing the approach and experience to education, discussion boards were created to share teaching material, opinions and increase interaction whilst video conferencing on Zoom was put into practice to ensure the consistent experience of being part of the USW community while learning and having fun remotely.
The overall teaching methodology accepted the strategy change with the emerging turnaround of the education industry and adapted to the condition. The Director MBA Global and Vice Chancellor routed consistent and multiple emails and video tweets of how students and faculty members should take precaution in these times of distress and encouraged studies to continue whilst informing how the USW was tackling these conditions to ensure a memorable experience for all of its students.
With education, lectures and classes moving to distance learning, practices were enforced, which also relate to distance education, electronic learning and online learning. It was a new form of education for the most of us, which involves physical separation of tutors and students and the effective utilisation of various technologies in today’s world to facilitate communication.
However, with the spread of the covid-19, distance learning has in the current circumstances become the part of the educational institutions with the trends forecasting on-going growth. Though, this form of learning does not have the same experience but it is embraced with good reasons.
Know about me & my experience at University of South Wales (USW), United Kingdom
By now, you must be wondering why I have been emphasising on USW in particular. Yes, I am a MBA Global student of University of South Wales and have experienced this situation in person! Like any other student, I had taken the most important decision of my life and embarked on the journey to experience quality education in a foreign country – United Kingdom and to build my career to establish myself as an individual with practical yet traditional knowledge. After extensive research and discussion with peers along with continuous support from my educational consultant – Index Consultant & Student Advisory Service, I had opted for USW considering that it offered a placement course and the modules offered were of my keen interest and passion.
I would highly recommend USW to all students looking forward to continue their higher education considering the faculty, teaching methodology, approach, support provided and massive reading material which develops an individual and transforms the way of thinking practically and logically. I am confident to return back to campus soon to live my dream and be part of the community again to achieve what I had desired in the very beginning of this journey!
