Czech model sentenced to over eight years in prison by Lahore court for Drug smuggling. Czech national, Tereza Hluskova, was sentenced to over eight years and 8 months in prison after being found guilty of smuggling narcotics, She was also fined over Rs1.4 million.
Tereza was taken into custody at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore after she attempted to smuggle 9kg of heroin in January 2018.
Tereza, since her arrest in 2018 initially mentioned that she had come to Pakistan with an intention to work as a model and that someone has put narcotics in her luggage and denied her involvement. However, later she reportedly changed her statement and said she had come to learn about Islam in Pakistan.
