7th Sky Entertainment has brought another gripping and intriguing serial to our TV screens with ‘Deewangi.’ Starring Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari in the lead roles, with Ali Abbas, Zoya Nasir, Mehmood Aslam, Noor Ul Hasan, ParveenAkbar, Humera Bano, and Nida Mumtaz in pivotal roles, the drama has been giving us one exciting episode after another. Written by Sadia Akhtar and directed by the ace director Zeeshan Ahmed, Deewangi is all set to rule the Wednesday prime time slot because of its engaging and emotional tale, impressive acting, and brilliant direction.
Storyline of drama serial Deewangi
Deewangi’s story revolves around Nageen Faiyaz, an ambitious and simple girl belonging to a lower-middle-class family, played by Hiba Bukhari. She lives with her sister and brother-in-law, but her brother-in-law, played by Noor Ul Hasan, and his mother consider her a burden. Hence, after she completes her education, she tries to find a good job but finds the job of a bus hostess, and given her circumstances, she agrees.
While working as a bus hostess, she comes across a business tycoon Sultan Durrani, played by Danish Taimoor. Sultan’s uncle is a politician with considerable influence and has a daughter Narmeen who wishes to get married to Sultan. As soon as Sultan sees Nageen, he falls in love with her and tries to get close to her. However, Nageen is skeptical about his intentions and hence, ignores him. In one of their encounters, she even slaps him in front of a crowd, a video of which gets leaked on social media. Sultan believes that Nageen is responsible for bringing this disgrace to him and his family and plans his revenge. He makes sure that Nageen believes his love for her and on the day of their marriage kidnaps her, making it appear that she ran away with someone else.
Nageen later finds out that it was Sultan and hence, starts hating him for what he did. On the other hand, Sultan gets married to Narmeen, not knowing that it was Narmeen who leaked that video on social media. Despite getting married to Narmeen, Sultan is unable to forget the time he spent with Nageen. Nageen, however, has to face a lot of troubles after this kidnapping scenario. With the assistance of her sister, she runs away from her home to escape from getting forcefully married to a bad guy. At the railway station, she meets Ali Abbas, who helps her a lot and takes her home after she was being chased by two men with some ill-intentions.
Overall, the story has progressed significantly and has kept us captivated. All the actors have done complete justice to their roles and make it an entertaining as well as engaging serial. Hiba Bukhari and Danish Taimoor fit the characters they are playing, while their impressive acting complements well the strong storyline of Deewangi. If you are looking out for a serial with an intriguing story and some right twists and turns, Deewangi is definitely a must-watch every Wednesday at 8.00 PM on Geo Entertainment.
