The teaser for the upcoming project ‘Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi’ of Yumna Zaidi has taken social media with a storm primarily because of its powerful and important theme: trafficking in human beings. The drama series is the product of a partnership between PTV and the Kashf Foundation that has previously brought us dramas like Udaari.
Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi First Look:
As the photos she posted as Allah Rakhi were very different from her poses with Wahaj Ali, many of us were confused about what Yumna Zaidi was trying to do in her next drama series. We knew that both looks were from the Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi drama serial, and now that the teasers of the upcoming drama serial of the Kashf Foundation are out, we have realized that the look is more than the eye meets.
Story Highlight:
The drama deals with the delicate but serious issue of trafficking in human beings, and Yumna may be a victim of the heinous trade. A stellar cast of names such as Yumna Zaidi, Yasra Rizvi, and more.
While in the teaser, we only get to see a glimpse of Naveed Shahzad and Yumna Zaidi; their looks and delivery of dialogue are on point. In a role like never before, Yumna will be seen and that adds to the anticipation. The teaser reveals an unprecedented number of 14,000 cases of trafficking in human beings recorded last year, including 12,000 cases involving women.
Kashf Foundation, Roshaneh Zafar On Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi:
The founder of the Kashf Foundation, Roshaneh Zafar, speaking about the representation of such a sensitive topic on TV, said:
“Well this time we are working with PTV so have already accounted for all possible objections as censorship policy is quite strict. That being said, we will be pushing frontiers on some of the issues to ensure that we are able to raise awareness and start a dialogue.”

Earlier, the Kashf Foundation collaborated with legendary directors Mehreen Jabaar, Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, and Sarmad Khoosat on various educational dramas such as Rehaai, Udaari and Aakhri Station, all masterpieces. The latest one to make it to the list is Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi, the director of Kashif Nisar.
Yasra Rizvi Talks About Her Character In Dil Na Umeed Tou Nahi:
In an interview the most gorgeous actress said that;
“It is a story about women trafficking, as apparent from the first few teasers, with an ensemble cast, and the main track is set in a modern/elite brothel, focusing on the lives of a few of these women of different ages and backgrounds.”
“My character, Sawera — is one of these women, a call girl in her 30s, losing clientele, trying to survive and fearful of her inevitable end,” Yasra shared about her role.
