Sources have confirmed that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expected to issue licenses soon. The PTA is set to grant these licenses within the next two weeks. Starlink has already submitted its application to the PTA. The company has also provided the PTA with its technical and business plans.
Starlink Completes Key Registrations in Pakistan
Starlink has completed three important registration phases in Pakistan. First, it registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Then, it registered with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB). Finally, it obtained registration with PSARA. These steps were necessary for the company to move forward with its services.
The last step for Starlink is to obtain registration from the PTA. After this, the company can begin its operations in Pakistan. The PTA is currently reviewing the documents that Starlink submitted. The review ensures that Starlink’s services will not disrupt the current network.
