Rupee sheds Rs 1.12 against dollar

Exchange rates 5th April 2022: Exchange rate of Pak rupee weakened by Rs 1.12 against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs185.23 against the previous day’s closing of Rs184.09.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs183.8 and Rs185.5 respectively.

Similarly, the price of the euro was depreciated by 26 paisas and closed at Rs 203.39 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 203.65.

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs1.50, whereas an increase of Rs 1.50 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs243.13 as compared to its last closing of Rs241.63.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 32 paisas to close at Rs50.43 and Rs49.37 respectively.
