Famous comedian Raju Shrivastav passes away at age of 58

Renowned comedian Raju Shrivastav passes away. Was undergoing treatment in AIIMS for the last 42 days after suffering heart attack.

The star comedian battled for life in ICCU of AIMS hospital in Delhi. 58 year old stage veteran was admitted to ICCU on 4th August, after having a heart attack following a workout during visit to Delhi. He went in to coma & never recovered.

His acts had entertained the world, spreading smiles across the globe.

Who Was Raju Shrivastav?

Satya Prakash Srivastava, known professionally as Raju Srivastava was an Indian comedian, actor and politician. 

He ventured into stand-up comedy with the talent show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and finished as second runner-up, subsequently taking part in the spin-off, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge – Champions, in which he won the title of “The King of Comedy”.

Srivastav also participated in Bigg Boss (Hindi season 3), the Indian counterpart of the Big Brother (franchise). After staying in the house for more than two months he was voted out on 4 December 2009. He later participated in the comedy show Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala.
