Fashion Model Zara Abid Looses Life in PIA Plane Crash. A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft (Airbus A320), flying from Lahore to Karachi, crashed in the densely populated area of Model Colony in Karachi. As per reports Zara, left for Karachi following the death of her uncle.
The tragic PIA Airbus A320 aircraft, operating flight PK8303 on approach to Karachi airport met a sad fate and crashed just before the runway, taking the valuable lives of 99 people on board including 8 crew members.
Zara Abid was a Pakistani model and actress who was seen featured in various photoshoots. She made her film debut in the movie Chaudhry, directed by Azeem Sajjad. In January 2020, Zara received an award in the category of “Best Female Model” at the 4th Hum Style Awards. Zara, grew up and resided in Karachi with her family, and completed her schooling from the St. Patrick’s Girls High School, before graduating with a bachelor’s degree and stepping into the fashion world.

Tributes are being paid on social media to the “wonderful and hardworking” star Zara Abid.
Actress Saba Qamar shared: Dear Zara, I didn’t know you personally, but I am deeply saddened and completely shattered by the news of your loss. Fly high up there in heaven 💔 In these moments of loss, words are useless. I really cannot express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel for the passing of all those precious people who lost their lives in this traumatic incident yesterday. Rest in Heaven.
Fashion designer Khadijah Shah tweeted: “The fashion Industry lost Zara Abid in the plane crash today. She was a wonderful girl, hardworking and professional. I was in awe of the energy and the dynamism in her photographs- May her soul RIP – so many ppl lost their loved ones today, may Allah have mercy on us all.”
Actress Aiman Khan shared: “Zara you were a sweetheart!!! We will miss you may Allah give you higher place in jannah.”
Event Manager, Frieha Altaf took it to her Instagram to share about Zara: “PIA plane crash. Our fashion model Zara Abid on the list of passengers. I’m devastated. #allahkhair #piaplanecrash.
Aviation Minister Mr. Ghulam Sarvar Khan and CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik on behalf of PIA management have expressed their deepest remorse on the sad loss of life, reiterating that nothing on earth can make up for the tragic loss of life. It was a very unfortunate event and our hearts go out to all the kins who would be bearing this great loss.
