After which she joined MD Dermatology and completed her doctorate in medicine adorning her educational career with the most prestigious qualification in the field of dermatology.

Dr Abbasi has been awarded with the prestigious faculty membership of the Sharjah University Laser Training & Research Center, an institution recognized by the Dubai Health Authority for issuing CME credits for laser therapists across the Gulf region.
Her clinical research work on use of erbium yag laser on Asian skin types treating atrophic acne scars won accolades at World Dermatology Congress & European Society of Cosmetic & Aesthetic Dermatology.
Her thesis written on cutaneous leishmaniasis is recognised by University of London.
She had her own TV shows on Geo and ARY related to skin, treating celebrities live on television and educating the masses about the latest aesthetic procedures setting a benchmark in this field.
She was also appointed as consultant/ advisor in federal ministry of health by the president of Pakistan. She served in the government office for 2 years representing Pakistan in World Health Assembly at various occasions.
