Rupee extends losses against dollar

Forex rates 22nd Oct 2021: The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee against US dollar depreciated by 05 paisas in the interbank trading on Friday to close at Rs174.00 against the previous day’s closing of Rs173.95.

According to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs173.8 and Rs174.8 respectively.

Similarly, the price of euro which was traded at Rs202.46, depreciated by 02 paisas as compared to its last closing of Rs02.48, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs1.52, whereas an increase of 02 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs240.20 as compared to its last closing of Rs240.18.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 02 paisas each to close at Rs47.37 and Rs46.39 respectively.
