Mian Anjum Nisar, President Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has urged the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the respective deadlines of making Sales Tax Payment and filing of Sales Tax Return for the tax periods of April and May, 2020 up to 30th June 2020 to facilitate the registered persons in discharging their tax liability without default and as per legal obligation.
He said that, “There is a smart lockdown in all the provinces of the country business office are not fully operational and almost all the economic and business activities, meetings etc., are at halt due to Covid-19 and as such the Registered Persons could not get enough time to submit their Sales Tax Invoice; make Tax Payment and file Sales Tax Returns by the respective deadlines”.
