Gold Prices Hit a Record High in Pakistan: Tola Price Reaches Rs272,000

On Friday, gold prices in Pakistan reached an unprecedented level, as the value of the precious metal surged due to rising international market trends. The price of one tola of gold saw a remarkable increase of Rs3,500, bringing the new rate to Rs272,000, marking a new record high.

The price of 10 grams of gold also experienced a substantial rise, now being sold at Rs233,196 after a jump of Rs3,001. This data was provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), indicating that the local market followed the global upward trend.

The previous day, Thursday, gold prices had already witnessed an increase of Rs800, closing at Rs268,500 per tola. However, the latest hike pushed the rate even higher.

Globally, the international gold market also saw significant movement. On Friday, the price of gold per ounce climbed to $2,612, with an additional premium of $20. This resulted in a daily increase of $35, as reported by the APGJSA. Despite the volatility in gold prices, silver rates remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola in the local market.

With this upward momentum in the international market, gold prices in Pakistan have continued their rapid climb, reflecting the global economic conditions. Before this recent rise, the price of one tola stood at Rs268,500 on Thursday. Now, investors and buyers are closely watching the trends as the market adjusts to the new pricing benchmarks.

Gold’s increasing value has solidified its position as a safe haven for investors, with many expecting further gains if global uncertainties persist.
