On Friday, August 23, 2024, the gold market experienced a slight uptick in prices, according to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association. The per tola price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs.200, bringing the new rate to Rs.262,000, compared to its previous price of Rs.261,800 on the last trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw a rise of Rs.172, with the new price standing at Rs.224,623, up from Rs.224,451. The 22-karat gold, which is also widely traded, increased in price to Rs.205,904 per 10 grams, compared to the previous rate of Rs.205,747.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable. The price of per tola silver stayed unchanged at Rs.2,950, while the price for 10 grams of silver held steady at Rs.2,529.14.
Interestingly, while the domestic market saw a rise in gold prices, the international market experienced a decrease. The price of gold in the international market fell by $12, settling at $2,492, down from $2,504.
