With uncontrollable depreciation of Pakistani currency against the US dollar the much expected price increase by Atlas Honda Limited is announced with effect from 1st February 2023.
The sale of Honda motorcycles went down 22.96 per cent from 678,655 units in last year to 522,770 units during the current year.
According to the new price list issued by the automobile giant, the price of the most selling unit of Honda CD 70 has increased to Rs. 128,900/-, after a hike of Rs7,000.
The price of the second most famous bike of the company, Honda CG 125, has been increased by Rs.9,000/-, taking the rate to record Rs.194,900/-.
Honda CD Dream will now cost Rs. 137,900/-, as it sees a surge of Rs. 8000/-, and Honda Pridor has been increased by Rs.9,000/- to reach Rs.170,900/-.
Price of top of the line Honda CB 150 F has been increased to Rs383,900/- after an increase of Rs.30,000/-.
The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers witnessed a decrease of 33.09 per cent during the first half of the current fiscal year (2022-23) as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
During the period under review, as many as 627,835 motorbikes and three-wheelers were sold in July-December (2022-23) against the sale of 938,355 units in July- December (2021-22), showing a decline of 33.09 per cent, according to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
