HSY Shows True Patriotism In His Recent Interview

The man who does it all, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, more commonly HSY, was recently interviewed on Eid Al Adha at his meticulously crafted HSY Mansion. The acting debutant spoke on several topics including his role as Akram in Pehli Si Mohabbat, his thought process in making the most of his time during the pandemic, his love for his mother, and most of all about his love for his country. Not only did he reveal much of the process which went on when creating the look and feel of the enclosure, but HSY also disclosed how his studio was inspired by the architecture and interior design of Pakistan’s founding father’s home at the time of the birth of our nation.

HSY’s fluency in Urdu?

At the very start of the interview while discussing questions people had about his fluency in Urdu, the superstar professed, “I love my country very much. I keep on saying it and I think it’s also very important to say because I think many people don’t talk about Pakistan the way they should. If you see any of our neighboring countries, or any other nation they’re constantly talking about their patriotism. In that way, I, too, want to talk about my country because I don’t think we’re less than anyone. In fact, I think we’re better than most.” His sentiments about his country were touching to say the least, as he continued to express his sincere admiration for his nation.

Why HSY decided to switch his attire to shalwar kameez?

As the discussion progressed the icon was asked why he decided to switch his attire to shalwar kameez. HSY disclosed that due to the pandemic and all the events which unfolded during, he had to think about what he had and what makes him who he is. This, of course, included his family, his faith, and his nation. Thus he gave a very genuine response, “I like the simplicity of Pakistani shalwar kameez because I don’t have to think about it too much. I feel comfortable as well and I have more time to do other things. I can take out time for my mother, for my business, and for everything around the house.” He then revealed that he got a lot of attention at a recent award show for his ensemble and he wondered, “I’m wearing the same thing that we all wear on a daily basis. I think people thought it was unique because, after quite a long time, we are only now accepting ourselves as a nation fully.”

Finally, discussing his designs and his luxurious mansion, he revealed why he decided to create the studio as an homage to his country, “I’ve been lucky enough in my life that I’ve worked all over the world. From London to Paris, to everywhere, and when people from those countries come here, we try to impress them with their own things. When I got this studio, from this furniture to this lamp, to this chandelier, everything was made in Pakistan, and if there’s anything that’s not in Pakistan I made it myself. When people say London, Paris, Milan, I say Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Multan,” he revealed while expressing his appreciation for all things crafted within Pakistan.
