The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan, a mountainous area known for its seismic activity. Occurring at a significant depth of 198 kilometers, the earthquake’s shockwaves traveled across the region, making their presence felt in neighboring Pakistan.
The unexpected tremors caused panic among residents, many of whom rushed out of their homes and buildings to avoid potential collapses. Earthquake safety protocols are often advised in such situations, and residents responded quickly by moving to open spaces.

The region frequently experiences tremors due to the constant movement and collision of these tectonic plates. Which can cause underground stress to release in the form of earthquakes.
