Karachi Eat undoubtedly is by far the biggest food festival of Pakistan which completed a decade in the business this year 2023. Now called the Eat Festival Karachi edition, formerly known as Karachi Eat is the most renowned and iconic food festival in Pakistan.
During the last ten years, the festival has been a platform for budding foodpreneurs, who serve up the most innovative spread to a demanding audience of food enthusiasts of all ages. The festival was expecting to host over 250,000 eager festivalgoers from the 6th-8th of January 2023 in Karachi however, the numbers multiplied by many folds resulting in a chaotic end for the event last day with event being called off in the middle of a performance by Kahani Suno fame music sensation Kaifi Khalil.
Several posts on social media started circulating, with Kaifee being hit with a bottle and injured but nothing of that sort happened and the Kahani Suno star took it to his social media to explain in detail as to what happened at the event and why it was called off:-

Hello everyone I would just like to clarify the fake news that’s circulating around about me getting injured during my performance at the Karachi Eats Event yesterday which is not true. I appreciate everyone being concerned about my wellbeing and inquiring about it, but I am totally fine!
I will say that I am extremely disappointed and upset because of what happened yesterday.
Ladies that came out to enjoy the evening with their family and friends were harassed and treated inappropriately by a group of individuals that lacked decency and common sense.
The event got cancelled mid performance because I couldn’t continue with what was going on and because it became a safety concern for people in the audience as well.
I request organizers to please take into consideration the safety of everyone attending when choosing the venue for such events specially the ladies, so such incidents don’t happen
These events get organized so that people can come out to enjoy but there are some people who ruin the entire experience for everyone.
This is the second time that this has happened at an event that I’m performing at and it’s disgusting and unacceptable. I’m not sure why this keeps occurring but it needs to stop.
How can I perform when this happens? I request that everyone please be mindful of each other and treat everyone with respect.
