Karachi Kings are the winners of PSL 5 clinching their first PSL title

Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars by five wickets in the HBL PSL 5 final and with it, clinching their very first PSL title.

With this win Karachi Kings bag their very first PSl title winning it at the National Stadium in Karachi . The way they have played the tournament has been truly applaud worthy.

Brilliant start from the bowling front restricting Qalandars to a total of 135 runs. Leading from the front Babar Azam played a brilliant knock out innings of 63 not out. Couldn’t have been better for the men in Blue all the way. Played like champions throughout the tournament.

Babar Azam batted brilliantly and remained not out for 63 runs as Karachi Kings beat Lahore Qalandars by five wickets to lift HBL PSL 5 Trophy here at National Stadium on Tuesday.

Karachi Kings’ bowlers held Lahore Qalandars tight as they managed to post just 134-7 in 20 overs in HBL PSL 5 final.

While batting first, Lahore Qalandars were off to a steady start with openers Tamim Iqbal and Fakhar Zaman scoring 68 runs in partnership. But, wickets of both the openers fell quick putting batting side under pressure.

Tamim Iqbal was off to a good start but his knock of 35 runs off 38 balls slowed down Qalandars’ score. Fakhar was caught off Umaid Asif after scoring 27 with the help of four boundaries.

Sohail Akhtar and David Wiese scored 14 runs each and both couldn’t stay for long at the wicket. Shaheen Shah Afridi expressed his batting skill with a six off Mohammad Amir in last over of the inning. The left-handed batsman scored 12 runs.

For Kings, Waqas Maqsood, Amir, and Arshad Iqbal took two wickets each while Imad Wasim picked up one.
