Given the names associated, something grand and spectacular was always expected. But Khuda Aur Mohabbat’s OST has certainly exceeded the expectations of fans and how. The teaser and trailer garnered an incredible response and now Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has weaved his magic and has all of us in his spell. It’s safe to say that the excitement for any drama has never peaked like this before.
Across social media platform there is nothing but love and admiration for the song and the drama.
Khuda Aur Mohabbat OST
We cannot start anywhere but with the majestic Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. His vocals are soothing and piercing at the same time. As a viewer you can understand the torment Farhad (Feroze Khan) is going through just by listening to the aching voice of Rahat. The rags and the alaps just add so much to the song. Holding her own in such esteemed company is Nish Asher. Giving voice to Mahi (Iqra Aziz), she is able to channel her sorrow and grief beautifully. Together they give us a moving song, backed by plaintively intense music by Naveed Nashed.
What also needs discussing are the lyrics by Qamar Nashad. They narrate the story of anguish, despair and eternal submission. With the lyrics, you feel a connection with the different characters on screen. You understand to some degree their stories. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the OST has given us a little flavor of what’s to come when the drama airs.
The video also compliments the song amazingly well. You see the transition of the different characters, from being enchanted, to their descend and their eventual spiritual journey. Different characters are introduced in a subtle manner, without distracting us from the original message.
Going by the OST, Khuda Aur Mohabbat by 7th Sky Entertainment certainly is well worth all the attention and hype
