The Lux Style Awards for 2023 took center stage at the Expo Centre Karachi, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of glitz and glamour. With the razzmatazz that only the LSAs can deliver, the star-studded event was hosted by none other than the dynamic quartet of Saba Qamar, Fahad Mustafa, Ahmed Ali Butt, and Durefishan Saleem. As the night unfolded, fan favorites stepped into the spotlight, clutching their coveted silver statuettes.
Much like its predecessors, this year’s Lux Style Awards paid homage to excellence in the realms of fashion, television, music, and film. A constellation of luminaries graced the red carpet, making it a star-studded affair. Notable moments included the presentation of the Youngest Lifetime Achievement Award to the venerable star Reema Khan, following a powerful tribute by Saba Qamar to the beloved artist of the 90s. Marina Khan added another feather to her cap, winning the Lux Changemaker’s Award.
However, it was Yumna Zaidi who stole the spotlight by shattering previous records, clinching two prestigious trophies on Friday night. Her achievement made her the most decorated female actor in the television category in the history of LSAs.
The red carpet extravaganza saw the presence of luminaries such as Saba Qamar, Fahad Mustafa, Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Aima Baig, Shae Gill, Sarwat Gilani, Farhan Saeed, Urwa Hocane, Yasir Hussain, Ali Xeeshan, filmmaker Nadeem Baig, Sarmad Khoosat, the Joyland team, Sunita Marshall, Hina Bayat Khwaja, Ali Zafar, Faisal Kapadia, and many more. The hosts for the night, Faizan Haque, Anoushey Ashraf, Saheefa Jabbar Khattak, and Mariyam Nafees, kept the audience engaged with their insightful interviews.
This year’s nominations also acknowledged several fresh faces in the industry, and while established industry giants predictably secured awards in many categories, there was also recognition for emerging talents.
