Sindh govt decides to operationalize ‘Mai Bakhtawar Islamkot Airport’

The Sindh government on Monday decided to operationalize ‘Mai Bakhtawar Islamkot Airport’.

The decision was made in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah at Sindh Secretariat here.

The meeting was attended by DG Civil Aviation Khaqan Murtaza, Commissioner Mirpur Khas Syed Ijaz Ali Shah and other officers. Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah said that the Sindh government has set up a state-of-the-art airport in Islamkot.

He said that the people of Thar and the companies working in Thar Coal will get benefit from it. He further said that the Civil Aviation Authority (CCA) under a MoU will make the airport operational.
