Dua Zahra, a 14-year-old girl who went missing from Karachi on April 16, was found in Lahore. Dua Zehra with her husband Zaheer Ahmed after being recovered by Punjab police in Lahore . She confessed that she ranway from her home on her own free will to get marry to her lover because her parents used to beat her and wanted to get her married with someone else, she says she is an adult and her age is 18 .
Dua Zahra told police in a statement that she came to Lahore from Karachi of her own free will.
Dua Zahra has been taken into custody by Lahore Police. Police officials said that Dua Zahra got married in Lahore. The boy she got married to is from Lahore.
Earlier, Dua Zehra’s father requested the society to stop spreading any news unless there is any evidence.
He believes that his daughter has not been found yet and says even there has been marriage, she is underage and there is a very high possibility of the nikkah happening forcefully.
Missing Girl Dua Zehra’s Video Statement
After 14 year-old Dua Zehra released a video statement, in which she claimed her age to be 18 years old and said that she married Zaheer Ahmed by choice, police succeeded in recovering her. Journalist Asif Mehmood reported that Dua and Zaheer were found in Pakpatan where they were staying at the Zaheer’s uncle’s house. Dua also filed a petition against her father and other relatives in which she requests to ‘stop harassing her.’
