The dark ages of the British Age inspires the silhouettes story of his collection. Swapnil has deconstructed the signature military uniforms to show the power play and freedom. The collection begins all dark suggesting the psychological trauma and struggle and it slowly blooms into spray of rainbow shades.
The contrast of rainbow palette against the dark noir is poetic, graceful and homage to all pain that dissolved with triumph of love.
Androgynous and Gender Fluid silhouettes are referred as reflective points throughout the show mimicking the dynamic societal shift towards gender neutrality. Vivid spectrum of textiles is haberdashed to create the signature Swapnil Shinde look – which celebrates the rhythmic chaos of textures and construction. The finale look is dreamy Gown in pristine white which denotes peace and harmony and fresh slate to start a dignified new beginning for pride Survivals of our nation’s LGBTQ family.
