Mujhay Beta Chahiye Comes To an Epic End & Leaves behind a Strong Message

Mujhay Beta Chahiye was one of those Pakistani dramas that managed to keep us glued to our screens every week because of its exciting story. Written by Abdul Khaliq Khan and directed by Asim Ali, under the banner of Sadia Jabbar Productions. Mujhay Beta Chahiye came to an epic ending after successfully keeping the viewers interested in the story since episode one.

Of course, the cast of the drama share the credit of success since they carried the show with exceptional acting throughout its running, but the acting delivered in the last episode was the final hit on the nail that made its ending even more perfect.

Mujhay Beta Chahiye Last Episode Review

Talking about the last episode, the drama opens up with Salman doing minimal jobs (washing cars, watering the plants, etc.) to survive. Rubina, on the other hand, is shown inaugurating her hotel. The drama then skips a few years ahead, indicating that Salman lived off his life in pains and struggles, and Rubina spend the next years eating the fruits of her hard work.

We see Ramsha as a very confident girl who is giving an essential exam in her career. Later in the episode, we also get to see her success as she tops in all her subjects and is interviewed for television.

Salman’s son, Zaid, on the other hand, is following the footsteps of Salman and Jahan Ara. He comes home very late at night, and upon being questioned, we find out he had gone gambling and has lost his bets for the day. He gets agitated by his father’s questioning and starts hitting him with a stick, to which Jahan Ara also consents, saying Salman has made her life a living hell.

Salman, upon being hit by his son, realizes he had been all wrong about the concept of having a son. He thought only a son is responsible enough to care for his parents while his daughters are just a burden. Flashbacks of his harsh treatment against his daughters, take him to Rubina’s house for forgiveness.

At first, Ramsha refuses to forgive him, but as one final message from the drama to portray the true beauty of a daughter, Ramsha forgives Salman saying daughters have big hearts, and they are responsible for their parents as well.

So far, the episode had us all rooting for Rubina and her daughters, but there was more to the event than just this.

Jahan Ara’s mother, who had always been such a cunning person, is now paralyzed and at the mercy of her daughter. Jahan Ara is too tired of everything she has to do, and as a last resort puts a pillow on her mother’s face, sending her to sleep forever. Jahan Ara goes to jail for committing the murder of her mother.

Ramsha’s forgiveness, even after such cruel behavior, leaves Salman in a more significant state of misery, and he leaves the house. The news of his death comes on television as an unknown person found dead.

Salman, Jahan Ara, and her mother faced results of their corrupt behavior in the way they least expected. This made the ending even more powerful.

Mujhay Beta Chahiye delivered the message that daughters are not burdens on parents, and with the right kind of support, they can do equally well or even better than sons.
