Public holidays are nationally recognized days that are observed to commemorate a particular incident or occasion. However, the final decision to announce the annual public holidays depends on the will of the acting government. From the very start of the year people in Pakistan or elsewhere in the world check up on the calendar to see the upcoming national holidays so that they can plan their personal holidays accordingly.
To make it easier, here we go with the List of Public Holidays for 2020 in Pakistan as per a circular released by the interior ministry & Government of Pakistan:-
Public & Optional Holidays For The Year 2020
Eid-Ul-Fitr this year is expected to fall on 25th, 26th & 27th May 2020 (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday). Whereas, Eid-Ul-Azha is expected to fall on 31st July, 1st & 2nd August 2020 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). Ashura (9th & 10th Moharram) is expected to fall on 29th & 30th August 2020 (Saturday & Sunday).
