In a tragic incident that has shocked the community. Two teenage boys have been charged with the murder of 13-year-old Jahziah Coke. Jahziah was fatally stabbed in Oldbury, near Birmingham, last Thursday, according to West Midlands Police.
Jahziah’s mother described him as a “polite, kind, and family-orientated young man. Who was always smiling and could light up a room with his presence. “He was very kind-hearted,” she added, mourning the loss of her son.
The two teenagers, who cannot be identified due to legal restrictions, were arrested on Sunday and have now been charged with murder. In addition to the teenagers, a man in his 40s has also been charged with assisting an offender. All three individuals are currently in police custody and are scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court today.
West Midlands Police have issued an appeal to the public, asking for any dash cam, doorbell, CCTV, or phone footage that might assist in their investigation. They have confirmed that they are not seeking any other individuals in connection with this case.
The incident has left the local community in mourning, and police are continuing their efforts to piece together the events that led to this tragic loss of life.
