A 7.7 magnitude massive Earthquake has been reported in various parts of Pakistan mainly in Islamabad, Lahore, Quetta, and parts of KP.
As per reports the earthquake magnitude in Pakistan is recorded at 6.8 on the Richter scale while the entire region had an impact of 7.7 magnitude with the strong tremors felt in Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and China.
Islamabad
Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration said that no casualty or infrastructural damage has been reported so far following a 6.8-magnitude earthquake which shook the country on Tuesday night.
Reports of cracks in Khudadad Heights, E-11 Islamabad, the building has been evacuated and an investigation has been launched by the authorities, said the press release.
Deputy Commissioner ICT Irfan Nawaz Memon, ADC Shehryar Arif, Rescue and Emergency Management Directorate teams are at the venue and investigating the situation.
According to Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD), the earthquake originated at 21:47 PST with 6.8 magnitude.
The depth of the quake was 180 km, with the epicentre in the Hindukush Region of Afghanistan.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Reports regarding injuries of five persons including two women have been received so far after the severe earthquake that jolted different cities in the country on Tuesday night.
The spokesperson of Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bilal Faizi informed that incidents of walls and ceiling collapse were received from five districts of KP including Swabi, Chitral, Buner, Lower Dir and Mardan.
Rescue 1122 is on high alert for meeting any emergency and people are asked to call 1122 in case of any emergency.
