The Government of Pakistan further decides to extend lockdown uptil 30th April 2020 in order to control coronavirus spread in the country. Prior, to this the Government decided and the lockdown was to end on 15th April 2020 and the local business were to resume.
So Finally The Below Industries are to be Opened Starting 15th April 2020
These Industries Are Set To Open from 15th April 2020
Medical Stores, Fuel, Media, Banks, Relief Activities, Grocery stores, Hospitals and food stores are already opened (including those related and relevant supply chain are open).
This will be now opened:
– Chemical Manufacturing plants
– Construction
– e-commerce for export and essential e commerce locally
– software development firms
– paper and packaging
– cement plants
– mines and mining
– fertilizer plants
– dhobi, dry cleaner and laundry services
– industries who have labour on their premises
– nurseries
– machinery making units for agriculture
– Glass manufacturing will be opened
– Veterinary Services
– Books and Stationery Stores
– Export Industries with export orders verified by trade boards
Electricians, Plumbers, Barbers, Tailors, Rehri Walas, Chapar Walas are also to be opened in Islamabad, KPK and Punjab only. (other provinces did not agree)
– Brick, cement, crushing plants, pre fab materials and other fundamentals will be opened immediately in Phase 1.
– Construction sites will be opened in KPK and Punjab will be opened immediately, Balochistan and Sindh and GB have different opinions.
*As per PM’s press conference, this is an ongoing process, and they will review before Ramadan and see what else can be opened.
*SOPs have been made for all the industries to be opened .

According to the details of the six-point agenda in the Federal Cabinet meeting, Corona’s overall situation was reviewed and the economic situation of the country was also discussed afterwhich the decision was taken.
Regarding the Lockdown we think that finally sanity prevails in the country and seems provinces and the federal government are on the same lines almost after more than a month’s debate.
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic was confirmed to have reached Pakistan in February 2020. As of 13th April 2020, the number of confirmed cases in the country is over 5,400, with 1,097 recoveries and 93 deaths. Punjab is currently the region with highest number of cases at over 2,600.
