Expressing confidence in the timeline, Dr. Saif anticipates the launch of 5G services in Pakistan by July. To facilitate this, a 300MHz spectrum will be offered for auction. In collaboration with key entities, the Ministry of Information Technology plans a significant overhaul of IT education in universities. Dr. Saif reveals a comprehensive program where around 31,000 students have registered for testing. Successful candidates will be offered jobs through the Industry Placement Programme, aligning education with industry needs.

Dr. Saif sheds light on the discrepancy in official export figures, revealing that the IT and telecom sector’s actual export is around $5 billion, surpassing the reported $2.6 billion. This discrepancy is attributed to international expenditures, emphasizing the sector’s significant contribution to the national economy.
