Coordinator Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sartaj Ahmad Khan on Thursday held a meeting with District Manager PIA, Saima Aslam and Sales Manager Fayyaz Ahmad and discussed matters regarding concession in fares for business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in domestic and international flights of national airline.
PIA Fare Discounts for KP business community
It was decided at the meeting that PIA would provide a 15 percent concession on domestic flights and 10 percent on international flights to the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A press release of FPCCI said a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect would be signed by the FPCCI and PIA at the regional office of the Federation at Peshawar.
Sartaj Ahmad Khan was of the view that PIA would be asked to provide relief in fares to businessmen and associates of the Chamber of Pakistan from Mardan, Chitral, DI Khan, Kohat, Dir, Khyber, Bajaur, Swat districts. He also suggested resumption of PIA flights from Chitral to Gilgit Baltistan and Peshawar to Chitral.
District Manager KP, Saima Aslam assured that the national airline would start the Chitral and Gilgit flight operation with an ADR Plane and said business community’s assistance was required in arranging at least 42 passengers for a single flight. She said their team would soon visit the regional office of the Federation in Peshawar to sign MoU regarding relief in fares for the business community.
Sartaj Ahmad Khan assured that the business community of Chitral and Gilgit would provide every possible support to the PIA. At the meeting’s end, Saima Aslam presented a souvenir of PIA to Sartaj Ahmad Khan.
