If you do not live under a rock you must have heard about PISA and if nothing else you must have seen their nominee cards while scrolling through Instagram. PISA or Pakistan International Screen Awards took place in Coca-cola Arena, Dubai. While the awards have been in news for shipping the celebrities in style to Dubai and we have seen some insane celeb buzz around it, there is also a controversy that has brewed and we thought we would share that with you too.

PISA Awards took place on 7th Feb 2020 in Dubai. We saw many celebs in attendance. From Mahira Khan to Reema to Momina Mustehsan. We saw them all. Glamourous selfies were taken and the event was shinning with all the stardom.

The Controversy
While some went on and enjoyed the show there were some famous celebrities who took to the internet to show their displeasure. The controversy was born when Nadia Afghan, a celebrated TV personality shared her experience. Saying that she was approached by the organizers of the awards, nominated and then left to wait without any notice. She said she had to change her schedule to accommodate the organizers in the first place but after the dates were finalized they just AWOLed. No notice, no news, no nothing. The veteran actress says that she has been used for her fame and the event organizers have used her name just to promote their show. After this, many celebs came forward like Nabeel, Ali Akbar, Osman Khalid Butt and many more.

Our Verdict
According to us, this was highly unprofessional and rude to let the celebs hang. No invitation is better than inviting and then not contacting them knowing that the celebs in question might have changed their work schedule for them. We do hope that there is some grave misunderstanding and the makers and stars sort it out!
