PM Imran Khan arrives in Karachi: All set to unveil a massive development plan for the city of lights

PM Imran Khan arrives in Karachi as on 5th September 2020. This visit of PM was much expected as he was much concerned about the post rain condition of Karachi. Prime Minister Imran Khan is also all set to unveil a massive development plan for Karachi worth Rs802 billion during this visit to address the city’s major problems including sewerage, transport and provision of clean drinking water to the masses.

“My government would not abandon Karachi’s people in their time of crisis. Government can’t turn a blind eye to the plight of the people and the federation will play its full role for the solution and development of Karachi’s problems. Karachi is our Business Hub having a major share in country’s economic growth and export sector. It really needs some massive transformational plan in order to cope with its grave issues. The new transformational plan will change the destiny of city, says PM Imran Khan.”

He has also directed all bodies to work on Karachi Transformation Plan and is also expected to unveil projects including:-

Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) — one of KTP’s mass transit systems
Various mass transit system projects.
Sewerage projects.
Solid waste management projects.
Water drainage projects.
Various road construction and repair projects.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a historic development package worth 1100 billion rupees for Karachi to address the city’s chronic problems.
