PSX loses 379 points to close at 46,891 points

PSX Summary 14th Sept 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 379.12 points, with a negative change of 0.80 per cent, closing at 46,891.34 points against 47,270.46 points on the last working day.

A total of 479,793,999 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 395,836,586 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs15.042 billion against Rs16.189 billion the previous day.

As many as 525 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 102 of them recorded gain and 411 sustained losses whereas the share price of 12 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were Byco Petroleum with a volume of 71,674,000 shares and price per share of Rs9.79, Telecard Limited with a volume of 51,432,000 and price per share of Rs23.88 and WorldCall Telecom with volume of 25,354,500 and price per share of Rs3.30.

Allawasaya Tex witnessed a maximum increase of Rs108.70 per share, closing at Rs 1558.09. AKD Hospitality was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs27, closing at Rs387.

Nestle Pakistan recorded a maximum decrease of Rs244.99 per share, closing at Rs6155.01 followed by Bata (Pak), the prices of which declined by Rs92.24 per share, closing at Rs1701.12.
