PSX Summary 16th August 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Monday, losing 257.05 points, with a negative change of 0.54 per cent, closing at 46,912.79 points against 47,169.84 points on the last working day.
A total of 251,807,006 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 213,362,547 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs10.147 billion against Rs9.277 billion the previous day.
As many as 470 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 120 of them recorded gain and 329 sustained losses whereas the share price of 21 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 22,213,000 shares and price per share of Rs3.34, Telecard Limited with a volume of 19,384,500 and price per share of Rs17.11 and TRG Pak Ltd with volume of 13,723,222 and price per share of Rs164.76.
Tri-Pack Films witnessed maximum increase of Rs14.87 per share, closing at Rs 227.68. Tandlianwala Sugar was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs 12.45, closing at Rs183.95.
Wyeth Pak Ltd recorded a maximum decrease of Rs 151.31 per share, closing at Rs1866.19 followed by Nestle PakistanXD, the prices of which declined by Rs 90.99 per share, closing at Rs 5760.01.
