PSX gains 439 points to close at 44,339 points

PSX Summary 20th Dec 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bullish trend on Monday, gaining 439.27 points, with a positive change of 1.00 percent, closing at 44,339.95 points against 43,900.68 points on the last working day.

A total of 238,453,759 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 252,204,958 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs9.395 billion against Rs8.053 billion the previous day.

As many as 343 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 248 of them recorded gain and 76 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 19 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were TRG Pak Ltd with a volume of 25,677,786 shares and price per share of Rs114.41, WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 17,456,500 and price per share of Rs2.19 and Byco Petroleum with volume of 13,939,000 and price per share of Rs6.17.

Sanofi-Aventis witnessed a maximum increase of Rs39.65 per share, closing at Rs568.35 whereas the runner up was Lucky Cement, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs19.16 to Rs693.74. Bata (Pak) XD witnessed maximum decrease of Rs44.65 closing Rs2000 followed by Sapphire Tex, the share price of which declined by Rs36.87 to close at Rs852.01.
