PSX Summary 22nd Feb 2022: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 350 points, with a negative change of 0.77 percent, closing at 45,012.18 points against 45,362.85 points on the last working day.
A total of 227,171,608 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 137,659,995 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs7.625 billion against Rs3.612 billion the previous day.
As many as 341 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 75 of them recorded gain and 252 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 14 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 23,687,000 shares and price per share of Rs1.80, Bank of Punjab with a volume of 14,411,500 and price per share of Rs 7.95 and Telecard Limited with volume of 12,900,600 and price per share of Rs 14.75.
Mari Petroleum witnessed a maximum increase of Rs28.82 per share, closing at Rs1757.30 whereas the runner up was Rafhan Maize, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs 336.47 to Rs 10199.
Pak Tobacco witnessed maximum decrease of Rs 32.24 closing at Rs 1008.01 followed by Sanofi-Aventis the share price of which declined by Rs 24.49 to close at Rs838.51.
