The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) gained 33.08 points on Friday, depicting a nominal positive change of 0.08 percent, closing at 42936.73 against 42903.65 points on the previous day.
A total of 177,297,274 shares were traded during the day as compared to 153,126,848 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 6.053 billion against Rs 5.861 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 340 companies transacted their shares in the stock market,136 of them recorded gains and 174 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 30 companies remained unchanged.
The three top-trading companies were Hum Network XB with 19,310,000 shares at Rs6.14 per share, Dewan Motors with 12,256,500 shares at Rs 11.93 per share, and WorldCall Telecom with 10,554,769 shares at Rs 1.42 per share. Rafhan Maize witnessed a maximum increase of Rs 434.99 per share price, closing at Rs 10085, whereas the runner-up was Sapphire Fiber with a Rs 49 rise in its per share price to Rs 1199.
Nestle Pakistan witnessed a maximum decrease of Rs 76 per share closing at Rs 5766 followed by Sanofi-Aventis with a Rs 49.89 decline to close at Rs 1050.
