PSX update 17th June 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Thursday, losing 323.27 points, with negative change of 0.67 per cent, closing at 48,157.63 points against 48,480.90 points on the last working day.
A total of 1,117,427,764 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 936,665,049 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs19.606 billion against Rs22.405 billion the previous day.
As many as 388 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 113 of them recorded gain and 260 sustained losses whereas the share price of 15 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom, with the volume of 243,179,500 shares and price per share of Rs 4.01, Silk Bank Ltd with the volume of 188,568,500 and price per share of Rs 1.80 and K-Electric Ltd with the volume of 57,436,500 and price per share of Rs 4.36.
Wyeth Pak Ltd Company witnessed maximum increase of Rs 82.45 per share, closing at Rs 2,325.83 whereas Nestle Pakistan was runner up with Rs 30 rise in share prices to close at Rs 5,780.
Island Textile recorded a maximum decrease of Rs 50.01 per share price, closing at Rs 2,250, followed by Pak Services, whose share prices reduced by Rs 30.67 per share to close at Rs 910.12.
