PSX update 28th July 2021: The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Wednesday, losing 368.96 points, with a negative change of 0.68 per cent, closing at 47,318.03 points against 47,686.99 points on the last working day.
A total of 365,776,287 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 432,626,166 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs12.266 billion against Rs13.876 billion the previous day.
As many as 432 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 91 of them recorded gain and 329 sustained losses whereas the share price of 12 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 40,378,500 shares and price per share of Rs3.74,, Byco Petroleum with a volume of 26,892,500 and price per share of Rs10.06 and Telecard Limited with volume of 13,225,000 and price per share of Rs15.07.
Colgate Palm witnessed maximum increase of Rs93.98 per share, closing at Rs2787.98. Pak Tobacco was runner up, share prices of which increased by Rs35.50, closing at Rs563.
Wyeth Pak Ltd recorded a maximum decrease of Rs44.85 per share, closing at Rs2031.15 followed by Mehmood Tex, the share prices of which decreased by Rs39.81 per share, closing at Rs504.
