The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Friday, losing 600.76 points, with negative change of 1.34 per cent, closing at 44,262.35 points against 44,863.11 points on the last working day.
A total of 293,746,179 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 280,677,883 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs13.770 billion against Rs13.613 billion the previous day.
As many as 367 companies’ transacted shares in the stock market, 84 of them recorded gain and 273 sustained losses whereas the share price of 10 companies remained unchanged.
The three top traded companies were Ghani Glo Hol with a volume of 34,820,000 shares and price per share of Rs40.38, TRG Pak Ltd with a volume of 26,233,065 and price per share of Rs178.33 and Telecard Limited with volume of 22,859,000 and price per share of Rs15.78.
Insland Textile witnessed maximum increase of Rs143.88 per share, closing at Rs2062.33 followed by Sapphire Tex., share prices of which increased by Rs63.82, closing at Rs915.49.
Philip Morris Pak recorded maximum decrease of Rs48.90 per share, closing at Rs850 whereas National Refinery was runner up with the decrease of Rs38.63 per share, closing at Rs562.38.
