Speaking about her character in Alif, Yashma Gill said, “I am playing this girl called Shelly, who is very modern, aggressive and very insure and confident at the same time. I had just gotten a call from Haseeb (Hassan) Sir asking me if I would be interested in being a part of Alif, and I immediately said yes … had NO clue about the character when I signed up, but it’s a Haseeb Hassan project, how could I have said anything but yes!!”
