It’s not every day that you see your favorite singer come up with a fun new duet with a very talented 12-year-old. Yes, you read it right. The uber-talented Ali Zafar has released a fresh Balochi song with a Quetta girl. The song that he has lent his voice to was a Balochi classic so we are sure there would have been immense pressure on the star to do it justice, but to our amazement, he has done a wonderful job.
This was also a debut song for the new talent, Urooj Fatima and we think she has done a great job. The song is called Laila O Laila. Sources have shared that Ali chose this song because of his love and interest in the southwestern province of Pakistan which is least represented in the industry even though it has extremely diverse culture and rich heritage.
How did the two meet?
Being an Ali Zafar fan, Urooj had expressed a desire to work with the charismatic star. Never in her wildest dream had the young one thought that one day she would stand alongside this maestro but her wish came true with this rendition of Balochi song. Urooj also thanked Ali profusely on twitter for his help and for being such a sport. Urooj Fatima is also a UNICEF’s teenage champion. We couldn’t be more proud of this little missy. Ali also was all praises for this exceptional young talent.
This is not the first hit for Ali Zafar. Ali is an established actor, singer, and songwriter. He has released numerous numbers and has garnered much love from the audience. He has delivered successes like Channo Ki Ankh mai, Hukka Pani, Superstar and many many more.
