The Pakistan Super League is a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament set to take place in UAE. Top International Cricket Players will be part of Pakistan’s biggest sports event, the tournament has already started to create a buzz in cricketing circles all across the globe. According to sources 5 teams up for grabs in the first edition of the PSL. The four provincial capitals – Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar – will be joined by Islamabad in a 5-team, 24-match tournament.

HBL takes the lead with the title sponsorship of the event for 3 years all set to steer PSL towards great success. Teams who are set to perform include Karachi (Purchased by ARY Group, Salman Iqbal for $2.6M), Lahore (Purchased by Qatar Oils for $2.4M), Islamabad (Purchased by UAE Capital for $1.5M), Peshawar (Purchased by Haier Group for $1.6M) & Quetta (Purchased by Omar Associates for $1.1M).
As per reports media rights for Pakistan Super League have been awarded to Sunset+Vine, broadcasting rights within Pakistan have been given to PTV Sports and TEN Sports and Tech Front will look after global broadcast of PSL T20.

Next will be to appoint the coaches of the above teams for the much awaited HBL Pakistan Super League which is all set to be held in UAE from February 4th – February 23rd 2016 and matches will be played at Dubai Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
