Pakistan’s famous journalist Arshad Sharif has bee reportedly shot dead in Nairobi, Kenya as per initial reports. May Allah make it easy for his family and may his soul rest in peace.
Police in Kenya has confirmed to Pakistan Strategic Forum, through partner defence communities in Nairobi, that Pakistani citizen Arshad Sharif was “shot in the head by armed assailants while travelling by road”. They further said an investigation has started.
Arshad Sharif was a Pakistani journalist, writer and a TV anchor. He specialized in investigative journalism and covered many political events in the country for national and international news organizations, including the United Kingdom.
On 23rd March 2019 he was also awarded with Pride of performance award by President Alvi for his contributions to Journalism.
The journalist’s family has requested the media and general public to respect their privacy and refrain from sharing their family pictures, personal details and his last pictures from the hospital.
