The Karachi Bling Special Edition Session of SEP Fashion Summit concluded on Tuesday with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event commenced with the national anthem, followed by emcee Samiya Asim inviting SEP PR Desk head Shanaz Ramzi to extend a warm welcome to the guests. Ramzi highlighted that this is the second Fashion Summit organized by SEP, with the first one held in 2021.
The special bling edition of the summit aimed to celebrate Pakistan’s fashion industry and discuss its current challenges and opportunities, with industry stalwarts coming together to support its revival.
Huma Nasr, the founder, CEO, and Creative Director of Shaane Pakistan, shared her vision and journey as a show director, emphasizing her commitment to promoting fashion and music as she believes they are great connectors, uniting people worldwide. Nasr also mentioned opening the doors of SEP House for activities related to fashion and music to support local culture.
Ahmed Chinoy (HI, SI), director of the Stock Exchange, lauded the efforts of Huma Nasr in keeping the fashion industry alive and thriving, presenting her with a Shield of Appreciation on behalf of the government.
The summit featured discussions on various aspects of fashion moderated by Maliha Rehman, with panelists Amina Khan, Neha Mashooqullah, Bismillah Pervez, and Zhalay Sarhadi. The engaging discussion focused on the different elements influencing fashion and vice versa.
The final panel discussion on Digital Fashion, moderated by Shaha Tariq, featured panelists Humaira Ali, Somayeh Bardai, and Irfan Pardesi, highlighting the significance of online fashion trends.
