Lahore, August 24, 2016: Veteran jewellery designer and entrepreneur Shafaq Habib unveiled her new flagship store at a simple yet elegant affair in Lahore which was well-attended by a large number of print, electronic and social media, along with Lahore’s well known socialites and celebrities.
The red carpet was graced by such names as Nilofer Shahid, Zara Peerzada, Erum Khan, Naveen Syed, Zarqa Suharwardy and many more while the host for the red carpet for this simple yet elegant affair was the multi-talented Sarah Gandapur.
The store was inaugurated by fashion designer Nilofer Shahid, which was followed by visitors taking a round of the store and appreciating Habib’s exquisite jewellery. Speaking on the occasion the uber-talented Habib said, “It is a proud moment for me to be launching this store here today, and I am overwhelmed by all the love and support that everyone has shown me by coming here in such large numbers. It is a testament to the enduring quality of my jewellery that has stood the test of time.”
Habib is known for her jewellery that boasts a unique fusion of eastern aesthetics with western elements inspired from her travels around the world. From her studio in Lahore, Shafaq produces designs that use traditional forms but often also utilize non-traditional combinations of gemstones.
All the designs showcased at her new store were one-of-a-kind and as always, Habib showcased her brilliant designs inspired by her various travels across Europe, the Far East, Middle East, Iran, Turkey and Central Asia. The visitors were highly impressed by the unique fusion and flawless blending of various aesthetic styles that her regular clients refer to as signature ‘Shafaq’.
